Yoga for Beginners
This introduction class is for complete beginners, people who would like to refresh their knowledge of yoga or those who prefer a softer class. These classes begin with warm-ups, and gradually introduce basic yoga poses to provide a firm grounding in the fundementals of yoga. Emphasis will be placed on how you can use yoga to improve your quality of life and de-stress. Each class concludes with a led relaxation. Yoga for Beginners imparts the benefits and joys of yoga in a calm and safe environment. This is an excellent platform from which to develop a yoga practice. Open to all.
Hatha-Beginners
The hatha beginners class is aimed at students who are relatively new to yoga or haven't practiced yoga recently. The classes provide work on the postures, breath work and meditation. Each class concludes with a guided relaxation, leading to a state of calmness and completeness. Open to all.
Level 2
Hatha Flow
The Hatha Flow classes link the asanas together in a soft flow. Classes begin with a gentle warm-up and centring and gradually build heat and openness in the body. The Hatha Flow classes also incorporate pranayama (breath work) and relaxation. Open to all.
Ashtanga - Beginners
An introduction to the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. For those who are new to Ashtanga from other yoga styles or for those who have never practiced yoga before but are physically active. This method of Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with progressive series of postures—a process producing internal heat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. Open to all.
Level 3
Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa Flow classes link postures together in a flowing sequence. Heat and energy and created in the body, allowing more opening. A dynamic and energetic class opens with warm-ups, sun salutes and flows into a different sequence in each class. Suitable for people who wish to have a slightly stronger practice. Classes may include inversions. A strong practice open to all.
Ashtanga - Improvers
Ashtanga Improvers is for those who are becoming more familiar with the Primary Series of Ashtanga yoga and wish to deepen their practice in a class with the help of an instructor. The class will follow the full primary series up to navasana, adding new poses beyond navasana as you are ready to progress. Backbending and finishing poses (including headstand if you are ready), as well as savasana will complete the practice. A challenging and dynamic practice open to all.
Ashtanga - Mysore
Based on the name of the place in India where Ashtanga originates, this practice involves each student working to their own pace through the primary series of the Ashtanga practice. The teacher assists each student as appropriate and also teaches the students new postures as they become proficient at the poses already completed. A powerful method open to all who are willing to learn at their own pace.

Yoga Dance with Dee
If you have done some yoga before but found it to be to slow for your personality and you like dancing why not try a yoga dance class .Combining the two in a free flowing form with music .There will be some time to warm up and cool down at the end .Its amazing how much stress and tension we carry in our bodies and how easy it can be sometimes to move it out .I hope you will join in the fun .Its a drop in class so you can try if you like.
Body Fitness with Dee
A class for those who don't like Yoga who have done pilates but find it boring ,who want to move ,sweat and tone the body and have fun .
Other Classes
Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a wonderful time to discover the benefits of yoga, servicing you and your bump! There are endless benefits to practising pregnancy yoga and its never too late to start. It helps to build confidence both with your body and your mind. Most women are fearful of the birth and have heard many bad stories from friends;, yoga helps you discover resources within yourself that can get you through even a difficult birth. It helps to relieve common ailments such as backache, heartburn, insomnia, lack of energy, sciatica and leg cramps. Pregnancy brings many changes, both physically and emotionally. Pregnancy classes devote time to adapting to these changes. Mothers-to-be learn about how to use the breath to slow down and embrace these changes. The breath can be the main tool in labour.
Mum & Dad Baby Yoga
Mum & Dad baby class is time for new mothers and dads to be supported in mind and body recovery from birth. The classes allow slowing down in a safe and supportive environment. The first two weeks involve time to hear birth stories and reclaim your post-natal body and some gentle excerises for the babies,week three and four involve baby massage. Week five and six focus on your pelvic floor and strengthening the back and stomach . The post-natal period can be lonely and difficult for some and getting out to a group to meet others in similar situations can be a great support. Overall it is a fun class with a relaxed atmosphere.
The classes are open to new mothers and fathers and babies, with or without yoga experience, bottle or breast fed babies. C lasses can be started once you and baby have had your six week check up.The class is run on a six week basis but you can do a drop in if you are going to miss a number of classes.
Bring what you would bring with you if going to meet friends for lunch with baby in tow. If you are bringing a buggy just be aware there is are stairs but someone can assist you. You don't need to bring a mat we will supply one for this class.
Baby Massage
In this course you will learn specific strokes and stretches for baby during this period of rapid growth and development. Each week we will add on to what we learned the previous week and in the last class do a full body baby massage.
You'll learn techniques that will help to calm your baby and aid digestion. One study shows babies who receive infant massage gain 47 percent more body weight than those not massaged.
There is no minimum age for babies to join this class.
Handouts and oil are provided.
Note: The cost of baby massage is redeemable from most health care providers.

Yoga4Teens
Yoga4Teens classes bring together many of the best aspects of YogaKids as well as 'adult' yoga techniques which blend seamlessly to provide classes specifically designed for the changing and developing teen years. Classes include posture work, free movement, games, sharing and partner work, breath work, quiet reflection and guided relaxation. The classes equip teens with a great grounding in yoga and all of the invaluable life skills that it provides.
Today's teens are under a tremendous amount of stress, coping with body changes, school, exams, peer pressure, etc. Yoga is a wonderful outlet for teens and gives the gift of body awareness, self-acceptance, self-confidence, stress-coping skills and relaxation. Most of all Yoga4Teens is an enjoyable experience for the teens, striving to help them feel GOOD about themselves just the way they are!
Yoga4Teens is aimed at ages 12-16 and is open to boys and girls.
Pilates
Pilates represents an alternative approach to exercising, which develops mind and body awareness, improves posture, balance, co-ordination and alignment habits, increases flexibility and joint mobility, improves muscle tone, providing stability, support and strength to the whole body. It also teaches you to be in control of your body and not at its mercy.
